Who We Are
Studio Collezioni is the design division of Made in Africa Investments (Pty) Ltd, a company incorporated in the Republic of South Africa. Made in Africa Investments is the responsible party for the personal information collected through these pages, and this policy forms part of the Made in Africa Investments privacy policy.
Information We Collect
When you contact us or use this website, we may collect the following information:
- Personal identification information (name, email address, phone number)
- Project details and requirements you choose to share with us
- Standard technical data recorded by our hosting provider, such as your IP address and browser type
- Your cookie preferences, where a consent banner is shown to you
- Technical signals gathered by the anti-spam check that protects our enquiry form, described under Spam and Abuse Prevention below
We do not ask for identity numbers, banking details or payment card data through this website.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for:
- Responding to your enquiries and providing our design services
- Managing our working relationship with you
- Operating, securing and improving this website
- Meeting our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations
We will only send you marketing messages if you have asked to receive them, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us operate this site and our business, and only to the extent they need it:
- Our website hosting and form-delivery provider, which receives enquiry submissions
- Our email provider, which delivers and stores our correspondence
- Content delivery networks that serve the fonts, icons and images on this site
- Cloudflare, Inc., which performs the anti-spam verification on our enquiry form
- Professional advisors, and public authorities where we are legally required to disclose information
Some of these providers operate outside South Africa, so your information may be transferred across borders. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that the recipient is subject to laws or agreements providing a comparable level of protection, as POPIA requires.
Cookies and Third-Party Content
These pages load fonts, icons and images from third-party networks, and those providers may receive your IP address and basic technical data in order to deliver that content. Where non-essential cookies are used, we ask for your consent first and you may change or withdraw it at any time. You can also control cookies through your browser preferences, though parts of the site may then not work as intended.
Spam and Abuse Prevention
Our enquiry form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a human-verification check that takes the place of a traditional CAPTCHA. When the contact page loads, the check runs in your browser and Cloudflare, Inc. receives your IP address together with technical signals about your browser and device, in order to judge whether the request comes from a person or from automated software. The result is a short-lived token that is sent with your message and verified by us before the message is accepted. A submission that fails the check is not delivered to us and is not stored.
We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the form free of automated abuse. The check is strictly necessary for the form to work, so it runs without a separate consent step and cannot be switched off while still allowing you to send a message through the form. Cloudflare acts as our operator for this purpose, and we have not enabled its optional pre-clearance cookie. If you would prefer not to use the form, you are welcome to email or telephone us using the details below instead. Cloudflare describes its own handling of this data in its privacy policy.
How Long We Keep It
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request and to maintain a record of our dealings with you. Where we have a contractual or statutory reason to retain records, we keep them for the period the law prescribes, and then delete them or remove anything that identifies you.
Data Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access and misuse, and this site is served over an encrypted connection. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you and the Information Regulator if a breach affecting your information occurs.
Your Rights
Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act you have the right to:
Our POPIA notice sets these out in full, together with the prescribed forms and the time limits that apply.
- Ask whether we hold personal information about you, and request access to it
- Ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, irrelevant or outdated
- Object to our processing of your information on reasonable grounds
- Withdraw consent where our processing relies on it
- Complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa
