Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal information, and the rights you hold under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act.

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Who we are

Made in Africa Investments (Pty) Ltd (“Made in Africa”, “we”, “us”) is a company incorporated in the Republic of South Africa. We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy.

This policy applies to miagroup.africa and to the Studio Collezioni pages hosted on it. Our other ventures — On the Rocks, Wings and Me and Pranic Energy Healing Africa — operate their own websites, and anything you share there is governed by the privacy policy published on that site.

Information we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us, and what our website needs to function:

  • Information you send us. When you complete an enquiry form or email us, we receive your name, email address and the contents of your message, along with any project details you decide to include.
  • Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is used to serve the site and keep it secure.
  • Cookie preferences. If a consent banner is shown to you, your choice is stored so we do not have to ask again on every visit.
  • Spam-check signals. The enquiry form on the Studio Collezioni pages is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a human-verification check. It passes your IP address and technical signals about your browser to Cloudflare, Inc. so that automated submissions can be told apart from real ones. See Cookies and third-party content below.

We do not ask for identity numbers, banking details or payment card data through this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project with you
  • To provide the services you engage us for, and to manage that relationship
  • To operate, secure and improve our website
  • To meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations

We process this information because you asked us to respond to you, because it is necessary to perform a contract with you, or because we have a legitimate interest in running our business — and, where the law requires it, because you have consented. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Marketing

We will only send you marketing messages if you have asked to receive them. You can withdraw that consent at any time by replying to any message or writing to us at the address below, and we will stop.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the site and our business, and only to the extent they need it:

  • Our website hosting and form-delivery provider, which receives enquiry submissions
  • Our email provider, which delivers and stores our correspondence
  • Content delivery networks that serve fonts, icons and images to your browser
  • Cloudflare, Inc., which performs the anti-spam verification on our enquiry form
  • Professional advisors, and public authorities where we are legally required to disclose information

Some of these providers operate outside South Africa, so your information may be transferred across borders. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that the recipient is subject to laws or agreements providing a comparable level of protection, as POPIA requires.

Cookies and third-party content

Our pages load fonts, icons and images from third-party networks, and those providers may receive your IP address and basic technical data in order to deliver that content. Where non-essential cookies are used, we ask for your consent first and you may change or withdraw it at any time through the cookie settings on the site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may then not work as intended.

The Cloudflare Turnstile check on our enquiry form is a separate case. It runs when the contact page loads, and produces a short-lived token that is sent with your message and verified before we accept it; a submission that fails the check never reaches us. Because the check is strictly necessary to keep the form usable, it runs on our legitimate interest in preventing automated abuse rather than on consent, and we have not enabled Cloudflare’s optional pre-clearance cookie. You can always email or telephone us instead of using the form. Cloudflare sets out its own handling of this data in itsprivacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request and to maintain a record of our dealings with you. Where we have a contractual or statutory reason to retain records — tax and company law being the usual ones — we keep them for the period the law prescribes. After that we delete them or remove anything that identifies you.

How we protect it

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access and misuse. Our site is served over an encrypted connection. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take the obligation seriously and will notify you and the Information Regulator if a breach affecting your information occurs.

Your rights

Our POPIA notice sets out these rights in full, with the prescribed forms and the time limits that apply. In short, under POPIA you have the right to:

  • Ask whether we hold personal information about you, and request access to it
  • Ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, irrelevant or outdated
  • Object to our processing of your information on reasonable grounds
  • Withdraw consent where our processing relies on it
  • Complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa

Write to us at info@miagroup.africato exercise any of these rights. We may need to verify your identity before we act, and we will respond within a reasonable period.

You may also contact the regulator directly: Information Regulator (South Africa),enquiries@inforegulator.org.za,inforegulator.org.za. Full contact details, and the form to use, are in ourPOPIA notice.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and material changes will be signposted on the site.
